===== Installation =====================================
Before you compile your very own electronic book we recommend that you
browse through one that has already been created. You should find a file
AESOP.DAT on your disk, which contains a short collection of Aesop's
Fables. To view this electronic book from the DOS prompt enter the
following:
READ AESOP then press [ENTER]
Browse through this electronic book and get a feel for what E-Text can
do. If you like what you see, and would like to create similar e-text
documents, print the instructions to the program by typing:
COPY COMPILE.DOC PRN then press [ENTER]
...then proceed with your first compilation by typing:
COMPILE then press [ENTER].
Make sure that IF the program is being run from a floppy diskette that
the user change default drives (e.g., type "A:" if program is on drive
A:). The program must be started from the same directory/drive where the
program is located (e.g.,if the program is on B:, you must be at a B:>
prompt to run the program). It is strongly recommended, however, that
you run this program from you hard disk drive and not from a floppy disk.
===== Warranty =========================================
Registered users are guaranteed a bug-free copy of the program. The
author, however, cannot guarantee a conflict-free program, since TSR's,
drivers, menu shells are things out of the author's control. Please
test the evaluation copy on your computer to insure compatibility BEFORE
registering.
If you encounter any problems with the program, please contact the
distributor first if at all possible to insure that you received all the
files that should be part of the program.
If you having problems running the program under MS Windows, then exit
Windows totally, and run the program directly from DOS. This should not
be a problem, but always exit Windows whenever a program fails to load
to rule out any conflicts.
If you must contact the author, the preferred method is by email at our
BBS (540) 372-9680. If you must send a letter by U.S. mail, enclosed a
legal size self-addressed stamped envelope for a reply.
